Brief Answer:
MRI Brain/SPECT/FDG-PET

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Firstly,MRI of brain can give important clues about various type of PSP'S-like midbrain atrophy and signs(humming bird sign XXXXXXX mouse sign) typical of PSP.Hot cross bun sign for MSA.Frontal atrophy for FTD.Likewise for other Parkinson plus disorders.

Then,SPECT and FDG-PET studies can detect hypoperfusion and hypometabolism, respectively, in specific brain areas to point towards specific PSP's.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.
