Brief Answer:
it depends

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

thyroxine requirements depend on the patient's age, weight and kind of thyroid disorder. Older patients start with lower doses and the escalation is more gradual than in young patients. Resection of the thyroid requires full replacement (with higher dosages). The highest thyroxine requirements are 1.7mcg per Kg for each day. So for a person weighing 70Kg the dosage would be 119mcg once daily. Most patients would require less.

Since your TSH is higher than the target levels, your dosage should be increased. If you're otherwise healthy, I would have gone for the double dosage and check a couple of months later. Please understand that there no strict dosage guidelines for that, so the treatment has to be individualized.

I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind regards!
