Brief Answer:
Complementary feeds important at this time

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to the HCM
I completely understand your concerns but don't worry. Its very common that the infants prefer to have only mother's feed and reject everything else at this age. But we have to work hard and keep offering them complementary feeds at 3-4 hours interval. You may take the following measures to help this:
1. Offer him different mashes fruit puries, ragi, curd, vegetable stalk, cooked thick dal etc. when ever the family sits for the meals together. Infants like to eat together and learns a lot many eating habits at meals with parents.
2. Give him a few supplements which will boost his appetite as well as help him in his growth:
- Syp. Ferronia XT (with elemental iron) 2.5 ml twice a day
- Syp. Osteocalcium B12 5 ml once a day
- Vitanova D3 drops 0.5 ml once a day

3. Try to give him atleast 2-3 katori of complementary feeds along with breast feeds each day.

Hopefully this will help you. For any further questions you may contact me.
Take care

Brief Answer:
Give him 5 ml albendazole syrup and use clotrimazole lotion

Detailed Answer:
Hi
It can be due to local fungal infection or worm infestation. I would give him 5ml Albendazole syrup orally once single dose and clotrimazole lotion for local application twice daily.

Hopefully I have answered your question. In case of any further questions, I will be happy to help you out. Otherwise you may rate the question, write a review and close the discussion.

Brief Answer:
Pinworms are common cause of such itching

Detailed Answer:
Albendazole is to clear any worm infestation that your child might be having. Pinworms are a common cause which leads to itching in perineal area as in your child. So trust me, and give it.

Maintain good hygiene in the surroundings of your child.
Take care
