Suggest Dosage For Gabapentin
Question: I have a difficult question that may not be able to be answered in EXACT terms. I'm wondering what the approximate dosage equivalent of 800mg gabapentin is in valium? I know that they are COMPLETELY different classes of medications, but I'm wondering if ANYONE has a "ballpark" idea of how many milligrams valium are necessary to ease anxiety effectively the way 800mg gabapentin does? If it's not too much to ask, please consult your peers to come up with a range that I can work with. Thank you and God bless,

As said by you... Yiu are right. It's difficult to compare the gabaoentin and diazepam. But still roughly speaking 800mg of gabaopentin should work almost equally as 10mg of Valium. If planning to switch, both meds need to be cross tapered.

Thank you so much for your response! It is greatly helpful :) I am planning to switch from 800mg of gabapentin over to valium. Having said that, what is the protocol for tapering off 800mg gabapentin and implementing 10mg valium on a cross taper as you mentioned? What is the timeframe and milligram breakdown of each medication as I go along if you don't mind? I would like to have a cross taper chart for the switch if you are so able to provide. Usually we woukd follow the following way for out clients.
Reducing gabaoentin total dosage by 200mg every 5 days where in 800 mg woukd reduce in next 20 days. On the other hand... Starting 5mg diazepam on day 1 and after 10 days increasing it to 10mg shoukd be sufficient.
Unfortunately at health care magic we are not allowed to prescribe to the foreign clients as the pharmacy in your country doesn't accept foreign prescriptions.
