Question: Hi my stomach gives me endless problems. I am overweight has a herniua of 3.4 cm diagnosed 2 years back, takes 40 mg nexium for it on a dialy basis. Cant go one day without it. Been for exrays a while ago-apparently i have lots of smallgalstones not yet effecting my gal bladder. My stomoch goes everyday however it is very hard to get it out. If it comes out it is small little balls, extremely dark. I feeluncomfortable during the day and if i go to the toilet with LOTS of effort i pass one little ball, size about the size of my small finger nail. Eventually after a few days i pass a few balls and then once my stomach will be normal. During this period i am contantly nausuas. Can you give me advise. I do eat dry food but does not drink anything else for it. I am also on cipalex 20 mg, and duromine 30 mg. even long before i started with duromine i had it but felt to uncomfortable to discuss it with my doctor.
Is there certain foods that i should prevent if i have galstones-we dont eat very rich during the week but if we go out, have a bit or red wine and eat out i also feel extremely sick during the night - and it is not of too much wine:-)

Could be Gallstone induced gastritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in

Are you talking of Hiatus hernia ?

If yes following care needs to be taken

1] Avoid spicy, fermented meals
2] Do not have heavy meals
3] Avoid smoking and alcohol
4] Wear loose clothes
5] Do not stoop
6] Do not lift heavy weights
7] Raise the head end of your bed
8] If Obese lose weight
9] If under stress - Manage stress levels by meditation and exercise

Continue Nexium 40 mg and add domperidone 10 mg twice a day

For your bowels take a good probiotic twice a day, the dark color could be because of erosive gastritis

Why are you taking Cipalex and Duromine ?

Hope this would help

Hi i have lost 4 babies and since been emotional and depressed. So the cipralex is for depression and duromine-over the last 10 years ( of which the last 3 years i stop gaining weight). Gain weight for no reson. Been on all types of diets but still not lose weight. I also am a corporate executive with tremendous stress and work ling hours, so initially i drank the duromine to eat less but now i have found it gives me energy as well. Been on it for 2 years and if i dont drink it i am extremely tired can sleep for 2 days and dont have enery for anything. I know it is wrong but i dont know how to get rid of it

I am sorry to hear about the tragedy you have been through

Yet I would like you to manage your stress levels by Meditation etc and see your counsellor to get off the dependence of medicines

Yes this molecule is a stimulant so patients get used to it but you need to give up taking the same

Continue the medications I have suggested and write back for further information
