Question: Hello Doc,

Today I did a regular health checkup, I was bit concerned with the ecg reports, i have shown the reports to two doctors and both agree its normal however i have attached the reports to the attachment just incase your view differs,

I wanted to know if regular consunption of arjuna tea is harmfull or not ?

I dont suffer from any issues in general, i walk jog and climb 7 storeys bldg, if u ask me to climb 12 storey dg i can do that also by walking 12 storeys non stop.

Wanted to know that in ayurveda what is the ideal cardiac tonic to keep our heart strong.

Brief Answer:
furhter clarifications and Ayurveda management

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health concern and following is/are recommended guidelines:

1. Since you have been initially been reviewed by a qualified Cardiologist who have ruled out any heart disease in you and also other reliable tests like Stress and ECHO also came normal thus hopefully there is nothing much to worry about.

2. 'Normal Boderline ECG' means:

. Either patient was worried/anxious/stressed before ECG which might have caused variation in the activity of heart.
PS. ECHO and Stress test both ruled out any heart disease.

. although there is/are no significant findings but not compatible with normal ECG criteria which in most cases after further investigations and examination is meaningless.
PS. have a thorough work up with a Cardiologist or discuss with your doctor.

3. Since XXXXXXX tea is free from nicotine and caffeine thus can be used regularly without any considerable side effects.

4. Since you don't suffer from any major disease thus in order to prevent any heart related problem, follow the five step approach:

i. Exercise: brisk walk for 45 minutes, yogasanas, pranayam
ii. Stress Management: Meditation, Relaxation techniques.
iii. Low fat diet: No to cholesterol rich food items and taking items that actually reduce cholesterol [onion, garlic, soya bean, apple, curd of skimmed milk]
iv. Elimination of known risk factors: Smoking/Obesity/Diabetes/Mental Strain
v. Drugs: Coronary Drugs [ in case of emergency]

5. Ideal cardio tonic which I usually prescribe to my patient is/are:
. Arjunarishta
. XXXXXXX Mishran Tablet
. Navratna Chintamani

PS. Since both Asthma and cardiac disease are psychosomatic disorder thus tranquility of mind is also important, thus 'Medhya' drugs should also be incorporated along with cardiotonic.
