Suggest Alternative Medication To Replace Salbutamol Inhaler For Wheezy Cough

Question: Hi, I'm currently on holiday with my 7year old son in Mexico & forgot to bring his salbutamol inhaler (only ever had to use it twice in his lifetime for wheezy cough).
He seems to have developed a very dry/tickly irritating cough which is exhausting him & making him very irritable, please can you make some suggestions in order to alleviate it for him? Thank you

Tab Asthalin is an excellent substitute.

Hi Sir/Madam.

I understand your concern.

As a temporary substitute for salbutamol,I advise Tab Deriphylline 100 mg one tab twice a day for 3 days.

This should be supplemented with Tab Asthalin 2mg one tab twice a day .

Both these drugs provide excellent relief until Inhaler is back.

Consult your doctor with regards to above.
