Brief Answer:
It is seen in normal people also, don't worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM!
I have read your query carefully and can completely understand the situation. Your complain of having a feeling of loss of control of movement and speech while still remaining awake is seen in many normal individuals also.
This is usuall seen when a person is getting up after sleeping/ in between sleep, there is a phase when he is awake mentally but is completely unable to move his
limbs and has a strange fear ( usually associated with his safely) and then after some time, like few minutes--> he is able to move his toes/ fingers slightly, and later his other body parts, and also able to speak normally.
Please donot worry, as there is nothing XXXXXXX about it. In your case, (as you mentioned that you have
anxiety attacks) it might be somewhere related to that. If these episodes have a temporal relation with increase in intensity of anxiety, then it will be best to check and revise the ongoing treatment.
Apart from drugs, one can try the fowling methods to help in such episode-
: try to do deep relaxed breathing when you have it
: try not to feel scared and understand that this always pass out on its own- without any XXXXXXX result ( As it always does!!)
: donot try to move all at once, but just focus on moving some toes/ fingers at first, as otherwise also these parts will come out of spell earlier than others
So, it is nothing XXXXXXX may need drug revision and try exercise .
Hope the reply is useful for you
if you have more queries related to it, I will be pleased to help you
