Brief Answer:
No,you should not avoid cauliflower.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
I read your query in details.

Coumadin (warfarin) is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that reduces the formation of blood clots and it is used to prevent heart attacks, strokes, blood clots in veins and arteries.

Cauliflower contains large amounts of vitamin K.
Vitamin K helps your blood clot. Coumadin decreases your blood's ability to clot. Eating large amounts of any food with high vitamin K levels makes coumadin less effective.

A sudden change in the level of vitamin K in your diet can affect the way Coumadin works in your body. It is important to be consistent and to not make sudden changes in your dietary intake of foods high in vitamin K (increasing or decreasing).
Some of these foods include:
spinach, turnip greens, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, chickpeas (garbanzo beans),soybean oil, lentils. If these foods are part of your diet you should eat a consistent amount on a weekly basis.
If you already eat a lot of cauliflower and other foods as above, tell your doctor this before starting on coumadin.
If you eat a normally amount of cauliflower in a week then you should not change it and keep taking the same amount.
So you should not avoid eating cauliflower but try to eat the same amount every week.

Also grapefruit or cranberry juice may interact with Coumadin and lead to unwanted side effects. Try to avoid these product while you are taking Coumadin.

I suggest to consult your doctor about these foods containing Vitamin K and how much of them you should eat in a week considering the dose of Coumadin you are taking and the amount of these foods you used to eat before taking coumadin because as I said before both increasing and decreasing of the amount of these foods weekly can interact with Coumadin and make it less effective.

Hope I was able to help you.Let me know if you have further questions.
Wish you good health.
Take care.
