Brief Answer:
About hyperthyroidism and thyroid nodule;

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The ultrasound report and the thyroid hormone result are suggestive for overactive thyroid or hyperthyroidism.

To find the cause of it, a thyroid scintigraphy scan and thyroid stimulation antibodies should be checked.
If Graves' disease is confirmed, treatment with Carbimazole should be started and the hormones checked once a month to be sure that the balance is normal under the suggested dose.

There is also a nodule described in ultrasound but the nodule's characteristics are not described. They are very important to decide rather Fine needle biopsy is recommended to determine if the nodule is benign or not.

Hope the information will help.
Regards,
Dr. Mirjeta

Brief Answer:
About thyroid nodules

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The characteristics of the nodules are not described.
Anyway, if they are hot nodules in scintigraphy scan the probability to be malignant is very low.

Looking forward to help you further.

Dr. Mirjeta
