Hi XXXXXXX,

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand your concern.

Based on your description, I suspect you might be having an abscess or a retention cyst.

The best thing for you at this point would be to consult a gynaecologist and get that lump removed and get that examined by a pathologist.

If you could write back to me with some more details regarding the lump, like

1. Since how long has this lump been there?

2. Is it getting bigger rapidly?

3. Is there any discharge from this lump?

4. Is the skin on top of this lump hot to touch?

5. Do you have any fever?

6. Do you have burning sensation while passing urine?

7. Do you have vaginal discharge?

Please do write back with the answers so that I can help you better.

Awaiting your response.

Regards.

Hi again XXXXXXX,

Thank you for writing back.

After going through your answers, I feel that this newly developed lump is due to some sort of infection, and I doubt that the lump is a swollen lymph node.

It is best to get yourself examined by a gynecologist/general surgeon to find out the exact nature of this lump.

Till that time you can apply cold compress to ease the pain and inflammation.

Based on the actual diagnosis you might need a course of prescription antibiotics and some anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen or diclofenac.

Please do consult a gynecologist/general surgeon and get yourself examined.

Sincerely hope that this information will be of some use to you.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Best regards.
