Question: My period has lasted almost 4 weeks. It keeps getting worse. I go through a night pad (10 hr) and a super tampon (6 hr) in an hour. There is a lot of clots. I take Ranitidine, Zoloft, Geodon, Propranolol (for hand tremors), Trazadone, Gabapentin and Benztropine. I'm also on Progesterone (start 100mg 2 months ago and increased to 200mg 1 week ago). What should I do?

Brief Answer:
Progestrone depot injections required

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Progesterone you are taking is not helping you and increased doses may not have much benefit.

2) Request your doctor to prescribe Progesterone depot injection which will help you to stop bleeding.

3) These injections can be repeated monthly for effective and long term cessation of menses.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Could a return of Endometrious be the cause?
I forgot to mention that I'm on Aubagio for my MS.

Brief Answer:
Endometriosis is not the reason

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Return of endometriosis may not be the reason.

You can also request for progesterone (Lng) containing intrauterine device (IUD) if you dont want progesterone pills or injections.

Aubagio does not interfere with this.
