Brief Answer:
Can be hormonal issues.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

If you have not been sexually active since August then the pregnancy possibility is excluded.
It can be related to hormonal issues, stress, weight changes, PCOS, thyroid function etc.
I think you may need to take progesterone pills for 7 days and then stop them .
The period may come in 5-7 days after stopping them.
You also may need to check your thyroid hormone levels , sexual hormones and do an abdominal ultrasound to check uterus and ovaries.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Where can I get these tests done? Also would a blood test help? I am an international worker in toronto ,I do have health insurance from my company and ohip as well
Do these tests have to be taken immediately or can I wait for a few days for my periods to show up?
Also is this something I should be worried about?

Brief Answer:
See details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
You should go to doctor to get the tests done. A blood test may help to check for anemia but not to find the cause of the delay.
There is no emergency on doing the tests and you can wait for days or weeks before doing them. You can wait for periods to show up.
I think you should not worry too much about it .
