default
Posted on Sat, 26 Apr 2014
Question: im asking for my husband who is incarcerated,31 yr old male they put him on Zoloft and thorazine. he has history of high blood pressure and is a recovering drug addict (methamphetamines),he also was positive for hep c then was rechecked to not have it? he has ptsd from being a vet of operation Iraqi Freedom, he is serving 2yrs of 5 he was sentenced and I of coursed cannot diagnose him but fits the description of narcissistic personality disorder. I am worried he will not get diagnosed properly for his obvious mental disorder. As someone who finally found out I myself am bipolar and taking the correct meds I know the freedom you feel when you finally feel RIGHT. I want this for him as well. Can you tell me are these drugs what you would start with I read they aren't good with some of his history? he also found a lump in his prostate that came back possibly malignant hat he first noticed 8 months ago

Brief Answer: I would have added alpha blocker for prostate Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for choosing wwwhealthcaremagic.com For PTSD, Zoloft and Thorazine are good drugs but can cause problems like delayed urination from prostate lump. After deciding whether is is malignant or benign, alpha blocker like alfucin for smooth urination should be added. you have no option but to have faith in authorities for proper treatment of your husband. This will give you some mental peace. I would have started with same drugs . I would have added psychotherapy for PTSD in addition Dr Saatiish Jhuntrraa

Brief Answer: Please wait for more time to see response Detailed Answer: Hello 5 weeks is a very short period for improvement. It may take 12-16 weeks. Having so many negative life events and stressors cause delay in response. you need to be patient. Dr Saatiish Jhuntrraa
