Is Ultrasound Recommended At 7th Week Of Pregnancy?
Question: my wife have 7 weeks pregnancy. when should we go for ultrasound and whether it should be internal or external ultrasound.

At 7 weeks of pregnancy if no ultrasound has been done till now then she should go for an abdominal ultrasound - external to detect the fetal cardiac activity and to rule out ectopic pregnancy.
There is no adverse effect of ultrasound on the fetus paradoxically the advantage of early detection of disease is tremendous.
There will be a more detailed ultrasound at 5 months- 20 weeks.
