default
Posted on Thu, 12 Nov 2015
Question: I have a 13 year old autistic boy. I have been adviced by some of my family members to try stem cell treatment for autism. Whatever little knowledge I have about this treatment method, does not give me confidence that it can result in a substantial improvement in autism. Please advice

Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

I understand your concern.Though,I have to say worldwide case studies are emerging nowadays which support benefit in Autism with stem cell therapy. However, the effects have not been proven in large volume studies.Medical research is yet to establish the role with certainty.Though, years to come may add evidence for it and it may turn out to be an effective therapy in near future.

If you have further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
