Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms may be related to anxiety.

Nevertheless, I would recommend performing some tests to exclude other possible causes that may lead to this symptomatology :

- a resting ECG
- complete blood count for anemia
- thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid dysfunction
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalance.

An ambulatory 24 to 48 hours ECG monitoring would help investigate your heart rhythm trends during a prolonged period of time and rule out possible arrhythmia, especially if arrhythmia is suspected by the above tests result.

But if all the above tests result normal, you should consider anxiety as the main cause of these heart rate fluctuations.

Hope to have been helpful!

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Considering your past performed tests and your clinical symptomatology, I would explain that it is less likely that your symptoms are related to any cardiac disorder.

Anxiety seems to play an important role in this clinical scenario.

That is why, I would recommend trying Xanax 0.25mg one or two tablets. If your symptoms are relieved by this drug, it would indicate that anxiety is the main cause underlying your troubles.

In such case, you should consult with a specialist of the field (psycotherapist, psychiatrist)to help you manage anxiety.

Hope to have been helpful!

Wishing good health,

Dr. Iliri
