Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Ipill Within 72 Hours After Sex?
Question: hey i am 28 years old girl. last month my menstruation on 10th XXXXXXX and 13th XXXXXXX i had intercourse with my boyfriend. today is 11th july . my period does not comes out. is their any risk of getting pregnant ? i took one take action pill on 14th XXXXXXX

Thanks for the query to hcm,
As your LMP was on 10th XXXXXXX so on 13th when you had sex you were in your safe period when ovulation hadn't taken place yet and hence chances of pregnancy are minimal. Moreover as double protection you had taken ipill on 14th XXXXXXX This should have caused a withdrawal bleeding after 7-10 days but as you have not had any such bleeding, and you have missed your menses as of today it is better to get a serum beta hcg test to rule out pregnancy.
Urine pregnancy test would not be sensitive until 8 days post missed period , hence serum beta hcg test should be done to rule out pregnancy as of now.
