Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Plan-B?

default
Posted on Mon, 21 Nov 2016
Question: My girlfriend started her period on october 21st, she stopped bleeding on october 25th we had unprotected sex on the 29th although i used withdrawal, on the 30th i had her take Plan B. Then on the 30th we had some drinks and had unprotected sex once again and also once again i used withdrawal. So on the 31st she took plan B again due to our stupidity. On the 1st we pulled another stunt of unprotected sex but with withdrawal and we did some research to see if it was safe to take plan B for the third time. Everything we saw XXXXXXX it was ok for this one time. So what i want to know is, are we protected from pregnancy or do we have something to worry about? And is her taking Plan B 3 times in 4 days harmful to her health?

Brief Answer:
Can cause menstrual disturbances.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

Taking plan B three times in 4 days protects her from pregnancy in up to 98% cases. But such a frequent use can cause an irregular bleeding and delayed periods and cause a menstrual disturbance for next one or two cycles. It is best to use a regular oral contraceptive, have a better protection rate against pregnancy and avoid any hormonal disturbance too.

Wishing you good health.
