Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking I-pill?

default
Posted on Fri, 11 Dec 2015
Question: Hi,
My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on 11th of Nov. Though he assured me he did not ejaculate still I took i-pill for protection next day i.e. 12th of Nov. around 4-4:30. It has been 10 days and there has still been no sign of withdrawal bleeding or induced period.
Am I pregnant? What should I do?
P.s. The intercourse was only three or four times.

Brief Answer:
Withdrawal bleeding is not a dictum

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
It is not a dictum to have withdrawal bleeding after ipill intake so nothing to worry and just wait for your periods and see the bleeding pattern.
A few patients can have delayed periods and decreased period flow owing to high dose of progesterone in ipill.
All the best.

Then nothing active needs to be done and just wait for your periods and in case very anxious then do a pregnancy test after exactly 2 weeks if ipill intake to be very sure of non pregnant status.
All the best.

Brief Answer:
Simple occurance

Detailed Answer:
It is common to have such pains in second half of menstrual cycle and are at times exaggerated due to ipill intake which has high dose progesterone.
Moreover you are noticing it because of extra caution you want after ipill intake.
Nothing to worry and just wait for your periods.
