default
Posted on Mon, 23 Nov 2015
Question: Hi,
I am 34 years female.
I had a missed abortion in the month of February 2015.
I am on following medicines
Fertisure -f
Ovygyn DSR 75
CCQ 50 (from 3rd to 8th day of the cycle)
Gestingthorpe 300 (from 16th day of the cycle for 10 days)
When I visited my doctor recently,I was suggested for HSG X ray...
Some suggested that there is no need as I had already conceived once.
Please suggest if I have to undergo this procedure

Thank you very much for the quick response doctor.
As I mentioned sometime back to you my husband has taken FERTISURE M and PATERNIA PLUS tablets for three months for low sperm count issue.
Since I am on medications my periods are starting after 31 to 32 days... This is confusing me with ovulation dates. My husband will be repeating the Semen Analysis test within next week.
Doctor has also suggested folicular study for me. Do we have to avoid intercourse if I have to undergo this test as it would my ovulation period?

Brief Answer:
No need to avoid intercourse

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There is no need to avoid intercourse. You can undergo follicular growth scan. Have intercourse when follicles are 18 mm or more.

Attach your husband's semen analysis report. This will help me to analyse how low it is.

Hello Sir,
I have under gone Follicular study for 11th and 13 th days of my cycle and I have attached the report of the same for your reference.
Seeing the 11 th day readings my Gynaec gave me HCG 5000 UI injection of Follicle Rupture. After that I have undergone scan today (13 th day) and the readings are in the attached report.
Based on todays report Doc Suggested me to Repeat the scan on 15 th day.
Please let me know if the reports are satisfactory... I am worried because there is no dominant follicle seen in the left ovary.
However We are having Intercourse from the 11 th day..
FYI : My Husband Sperm Count was on lower side and he was on medication for 3 month. He will repeat the Semen Analysis Test after my Ovulation Period.

Thanks for your patience.

Sir
Thanks a lot for the response... I will surely attach the SA report of my husband once he gets it done...

Is it normal that only one ovary produces egg? Because there is no dominant follicles seen in my left ovary...

We are having intercourse from my 11th day... should we continue it daily?
My doc has suggested to have intercourse on alternate days

thanks in advance

Sir,

Does that mean, that I have lost the chance to conceive this month? Doctor said that F2 Follicle is still available so there are moderate chances..
Also If I get my periods should I take Stimulants for Egg Production (CCQ-50 from 3rd day to 8 th day of the cycle) or stop it for this cycle?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Mahesh Koregol (13 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
You have chances of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You have chance to conceive as follicle appears to be ovulated.

If you get periods, get scan to see if the cyst has disappeared. If disappeared, you can take CCQ .

Hello Sir
Got the Semen Analysis test done for my husband and I have attached the reports. Compared to previous report the motility has increased from 20 to 40 percent while the sperm count remains the same.
Please suggest how to proceed further .
Thanks in advance
doctor
Answered by Dr. Mahesh Koregol (28 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Please follow instructions

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I saw the attached report.

Only good thing is that motility has improved.

Follow the instructions below to improve sperms :

1) Let him lose weight if he is overweight or obese.

2) Let him stop smoking and alcohol if he has habits.

3) Let him wear loose undergarments and pants and no undergarments at night in home to allow temperature of scrotum to be normal.

Let me know which city you are taking treatment so that I can recommend a good fertility specialist or IVF center who do better job.

Sir,
My Husband is not Obese and he is maintaining appropriate weight. Also he is a Non-Smoker and Non Drinker.
Apart from that he is following the instructions your mentioned regarding clothing, since a month or so. He is also doing Yoga and Meditation.
Are there chances for me to conceive naturally? We want to try conceiving naturally for another couple of month before going for any artificial procedures.
We stay in XXXXXXX
