Question: I had testicle pain 3 mths ago .. Dr gave me veltam .. I had it for a mnth and nw its ok .. But during taking medicine my semen volume reduced and this causes lot of tension to me .. I was stress out , thinking about this all time .. After stopping medicine ( its been around 1.5 mths ) , volume has improved a lot but not that same .. I am also not feeling sexually excited as i uses to be .. Previously my ejaculation used to squirt three or four times but now it just dribbles out only after one squirt .. Pls help me as i am very worried about my fertility .. Age 24

Brief Answer:
reported adverse event of veltam

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Abnormal ejaculation (includes ejaculation failure, ejaculation disorder, retrograde ejaculation, and ejaculation decrease) is a reported adverse event of veltam. However, in your case, as you ave already withdrawn from the drug I think there is no need to worry as it takes some time to come to normalcy.

Anyhow, anxiety which may be due to pain and other reasons could also contribute to your problem. Try to decrease your anxiety as this is not a bi problem. Finally, I would like to reassure that this does adversely effect your fertility.

Take care!

Detailed Answer:
As I mentioned in previous reply, anxiety, which may be due to pain and other reasons could also contribute to your problem. And this may be the reason for delay in complete recovery. however, you need to get examined by a Urologist to exclude other causes as well.
