Posted on Wed, 20 Apr 2016
Question: Hello Doctor -

My wife is in 13 weeks of pregnancy. Day before yesterday we had a NT scan and Doc said baby is healthy and growth is good.
Suddenly today morning my wife had some light bleeding.
She is crying heavily can you please suggest if something gone wrong or is it normal?
I'll go for a check up but before that just asking for a mental preparation.

Brief Answer:
Possible threatened abortion.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The fact remains that the bleeding puts the pregnancy at risk.
I hope that there has been no fall or injury.
Unfortunately, there is no medication for this.
You need to meet up with the gynecologist again as soon as possible.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
