Brief Answer:
Laser is not the right treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Sir

Laser treatment is definitely not the right treatment for fungal infection of the nails (Onychomycosis) . Laser ( Light amplification by stimulated emission of Radiation) consists of beam of light with high energy dissipation on coming in contact with tissue. This usually causes charring and burning of the tissue. It's equivalent to cutting the nail.
in fungal infection usually the root of the nail is also infected. Antifungal agent are definitely indicated especially in diabetic for management of fungal infection of nail.
Once a weekly dose Of Flucanazole for 8 to 12 weeks would suffice.

In case you require any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take care
