Question: My wife started taking tab loette as per her gynec prescription for birth control. Yesterday was her 12th dose of her medicine. We had unprotected intercourse. Should we take an i pill as an additional precuationery measure

Each loette blister pack contains 21 pink active tablets and 7 white pills which are inactive. Take one pill daily till all 28 pills are over.

The contraceptive effects of the hormonal components contained in loette are based on the inhibition of ovulation (by suppression of gonadotropin hormone release) and changes in the cervical mucus, which increase the difficulty of sperm penetration into the uterus.

Additionally, changes in the endometrium reduce the likelihood of implantation. So effective protection.

Thanks for your answer. But my pack contains only 21 tablets and not 28. My gynec told to have a gap of 7 days after these 21 tablets are over. I have a question that does my wife have to take seven days gap after every 21 tablets?
