Is It Possible For Bedbug To Be Stuck In Throat?

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Feb 2015
Question: Hi,
I'm 53 years old, a woman. I'm travelling in Thailand, in the southern islands and think I may have a bedbug lodged in the back of my throat. Is this possible? If so, how can I get rid of it? I have tried gargling with Listerine, which seems to be momentarily "disturbing" the creature but it's still there after over a week. Please advise. Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely. Consult with doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion, it's very unlikely to have bed bug in the throat. Even if you have swallowed it it won't stay in the throat.
There is no medicines for this.it has to be removed from the throat using endoscope, if present. The sensation of something there in the throat can be because of throat allergy,Gerd (Gastro esophageal reflux disease)
This needs clinically evaluation and treatment. I would suggest you to consult with the doctor and get evaluated. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
