Is It Necessary To Visit Emergency Room For Coronary Artery Spasm?

default
Posted on Fri, 25 Sep 2015
Question: I am looking for a cardiologist with expertise on heart attacks caused by arterial spasm.
None of my husband's physicians have any, and we are wondering whether we are getting sound advice. Other than his defibrillator/pacemaker going off, what symptoms would warrant a visit to the emergency room? What blood pressure reading?

Brief Answer:
Following answer to your query.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

You should go to ER in case of chest pain or dyspnea accompanied by BP higher than 200/110 mmHg.

On these occasions you should go immediately to ER for putting your BP under control and to prevent angina attacks.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
