Getting vaccinated is a great way to go as you are visiting a less developed nation with poor sanitary conditions. Hepatitis A is spread through poor hygiene measures. If you are not yet vaccinated, you are at high risk and would benefit most from this. Make sure you get this one time shot and follow through before departure. Also, if you have not been vaccinated against tetanus, hepatitis B, pneumococcus and Meningitis, please kindly request them. It will he helpful to also get the vaccine against cholera and typhoid fever, too.
