Question: I have a hard spot in the vein in my right arm where an IV line was inserted and remained for five days last week. Should I be concerned about this?

I would treated this by advising you to apply Warm compression of site, it will help reducing the symptom.
I would have treated you with Thrombophob Gel, apply this gel 3 times per day.

With this measures the symptoms will reduces in three to four days.
