Is Blood Pressure Of 169/96 A Cause For Concern?

default
Posted on Thu, 29 Dec 2016
Question: My blood pressure is high so this morning my bp was169/96. So my md put me back on diovan hct 160/25. He did that this morning at 7:30. I saw him at his office at 11:30 a.m and he put me back on my Coreg 12.5 twice a day. I know coreg will lower my pulse rate, I also take Klonopin .5 mg twice a day. Will the klonopin lower my pulse rate too much? Or does it not affect my pulse?

Thank you

not significanlty

Hi and welcome.
You should not be worried since Klonopin will not affect bp nor pulse significantly. This may lower is just minorly and it is not contraindicated if taking other antihypertensives. Just take it in recommended dosage and check your BP frequently. WIsh you good health. Regards
