Brief Answer:
Commonly seen but not normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
A pregnancy can cause many overwhelming feelings, including stress; a feeling of being angry or depressed. most of the times the anger is due to a feeling of depression that is usual during pregnancy.
A long-term anger or anxiety can have detrimental effects on your baby. It can cause a growth retardation or a preterm labor.
Simple relaxation tools such as deep breathing and relaxing imagery can be effective in controlling stress and anger. Relaxation techniques are also taught in childbirth education classes. Non-strenuous, slow yoga-like exercises can relax her muscles and make her feel calmer.
Regular exercise is also recommended. It will cause an emotional lift from the release of endorphins and her energy level will be increased and common complaints like backaches, breathlessness and constipation will be minimized by regular exercise.
In case her mood swings are persistent then a mild anti anxiety drug and an anti depressant may be needed after consulting your gynecologist.
