Doctor said , platelet count is in border line and asked me do to only platelets count test after 3 days.she gave advent 625mg for 3 days (morning n night)
I have done today and it is 1.7 now. Only last Tuesday I got fever , after that I haven't got fever, currently I have bit cough. I know platelets count range is 1.5 to 4.5 for male of age 30. Want to know if this count is good or I need to do further tests.

Brief Answer:
Not required at all.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
You might be having some Viral infection in which platelet counts drops a little. First of all they were almost normal. We start worrying if they become less then 1.0
Moreover next check showed that they are on rising trend.
So there is no need to worry.
These days viral infection persists up to 7 days.
So just take Paracetamol twice or thrice a day.
For cough you can take Levocetrizine once a day.
All this would resolve within next 3-5 days.
No need for any testing.
If you again get high grade fever with chills then get Malaria tested.
If you have any further query please ask me.
