Thank you. Is allergic bronchitis serious or common in 2 month old baby. As my baby cough like an adult and seems congested.

Brief Answer:
Steam inhalation would be greatly beneficial.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Allergic bronchitis, or rather bronchiolitis, is a condition most often triggered by certain viruses. Irrespective of treatment, it usually lasts for 5-7 days. It is not a serious condition but requires monitoring. You need to give steam inhalation to your child. It helps in reducing the congestion. Just sit with your child on your lap and place the source of steam before you. The water vapor will be in the air and automatically the child will breathe it in. Water vapor will reach deep inside and would help in diluting the cough and thus would provide relief.

Does Ventorlin has any side effects. I noticed my baby shivering his legs and hands. Is this a side effect or due to reflexes.

Usually well tolerated

This shivering is likely to be a side effect of Ventolin. Another possible side effect is increased heart rate. It is not a cause for concern.
