Is Sidenafil The Right Medicine For Erectile Dysfunction?

default
Posted on Tue, 24 Feb 2015
Question: Due to the pricing I have been taking Silenafil tablets 100mg when my spouse is ready. The last few times, I have felt like a failure, unable to get a good erection for penetration, leaving both of us frustrated. Do I need to use Viagara ilo a generic product or change product all together.

Brief Answer:
Needs to evaluate to find out cause of Erectile Dysfunction.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been taking Sildenafil on the day of planned sexual activity, however since couple of days you are not getting good hard erection

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem
1) Are you diabetic ?
2) Do you have high blood pressure ?
3) Have you done blood test to know your Testosterone levels?
4) Is there any stress factor that has cropped up in your life very recently?
5) Are you taking any medications? (apart from Sildenafil)

Decreased libido or erection problem is common after the age of 60 years .It is mainly due to decreased production of Testosterone by the testicles This is one of the few reasons for ED after the age of 60 years .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to trace out cause of your ED.

1) Blood Sugar estimation
2) Serum Testosterone levels
3) Colour Doppler Ultrasound Scanning of penis to rule out any vascular cause for your ED.

Further treatment will depend upon the results of these tests and cause of your ED.

Sildenafil and Viagra are the same drug .Sildenafil is a pharmaceutical component with trade name being Viagra. So it will not make any difference by changing the drug.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
