Is HSV Test Done 4 Weeks Post Exposure Conclusive?
Question: Good Day Dr,
Just updating. I had the HSV test done 4 weeks post exposure.
Hsv 1 IGG Ab 0.08
Hsv 2 IGG Ab 0.05
are these figures atleast a little assuring. given that its just 4 weeks post.. would u have any idea whats the percantage of people who test positive at 4 weeks.

HSV1 IgG antibody titers less than 0.89 are considered negative
HSV2 IgG antibody titers of less than 0.9 are also considered negative
Since the incubation period for HSV1 is 2-12 days and the incubation period for HSV2 is 3-7 days your results are confirming that you did not get either virus.
Incubation period is the time from exposure to onset of symptoms of positive antibody test.
Everyone that is positive should test positive at 4 weeks.
I think you can feel confident that you do not have HSV 1 or 2.

The problem is that from the 2nd day post exposure. i have been getting loose stools. i didnt initially pay much attention as i already suffer from IBS. And sadly stress has gotten the better of me .however 30 days post. my stools are getting worse. its not continous but still loose and with mucus.
also terrible painful bloating. the bloating is so bad that the muscles pain just under the ribs. Have read about initial oitbreaks and im praying this is not it.. if my.stools.are a symptom of Hsv. i guess my body should have produced enough antibody since its happening from.the 2nd day correct.. still hoping and praying.

Herpes viruses usually cause nerve pain and blisters on the skin, not diarrhea. With your test results and no skin outbreaks of blisters you can feel confident that you do not have HSV 1 or 2

Thank you Dr. but just a little feed back. i am a hetro male. sadly things went a bit wrong and for some crazy reason the Female masseuse put her finger in my anus. it was brief but very painful. more so i am paranoid as she was semi undressed and i had my back turned. so i have no idea if she touched her privates then put her finger in me.. i am totally paranoid and feel ive picked up Anal Herpes . btw i have done all the other std test as well as the Hiv test. all ok

I understand how this would be very concerning. Your tests are convincingly negative. If you had gotten anal herpes you would probably have severe rectal pain and blisters around the anus.
It is probably just the stress that has stirred up your IBS causing the diarrhea.
