Brief Answer:
consult your doctor for recheck up before changing

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing to us.
Its common for baby to get pain and fever after vaccination, it ll last for 2 to 3 days.

Usually babygesic syp which your doctor has prescribed will be enough.
Meftal syp is not completely safe to give for a new born baby, it may cause rashes over the skin secondary to drug allergy.
Give warm water fomentation to the site of the vaccination to ease the pain.
If the baby is still not comfortable , take him back to your doctor for another checkup and then change the medicine .

Thank you, hope I have cleared your query.
Regards.
