Is Ambodil Syrup Safe For Cough In Infant?
Question: My son who is 4 months old had strep throat infection and was treated with aughumentin syrup for 10 days. He became better and for the nekt ten days everything was normal. He has now slight cough and doctor has prescribed Amrodil s syrup 3 ml three times a day for 5 days. There is no fever. Please infrm me whther it is safe to give Ambodil syrup and the precautions I have to take.

It seems to a fresh infection , not related to earlier infection as full course of antibiotics has been completed.
Recurrent respiratory infections can occur in this age , more common with changing weather . Ambrodil-S in prescribed for congestion. It is safe to use in prescribed doses.
Precautions to use are keep a watch on warning signs like high fever , rapid breathing, chest wall retractions, poor feeding , less urine . In any of this signs do consult your doctor early .
