Question: In line with my prior wuestioning can you look at this result from my ER visit in December? i was told everything was %E2%80%9Cnormal%E2%80%9D then see this. my T -wave was slightly inverted in 2016 and i had a full workup: stress echo, nuc med stress test and was told it was normal. i am still having sob (i sleep like a baby at night) but as soon as i wake up it starts all over again. All bloodwork troponin, bnp, etc was normal in dec. I will attach ECG final result.

Hello!
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service!

I agree with your doctor that these changes in the ECG could be related to different possible causes like a lung disorder, arterial hypertension, thyroid hormone levels, or your thoracic constitution.

For this reason, I would recommend performing a lung angio CT scan and pulmonary function tests in order to exclude possible lung disorders.

It is also important to closely monitor your blood pressure values and checking your thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid gland dysfunction.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!

Kind regards,

I had an chest/angio CT done in the emergency department and it was normal except for a tiny amount of scarring in the left lower lung which has been there for a few years (The radiologists I work with say this isn’t an unusual find ). Chest X-ray was normal. D-dimer was only SLIGHTLY elevated but that’s why they did the CT. Troponin and t-bnp normal. All other bloodwork normal but I have not had thyroid done since 1 year ago. I have a pulmonary consultation this Friday and hoping for some answers. If nothing pans out there I guess a consult and action for anxiety will be the next step.

Also...I have been on propanol for several years for sinus tachycardia ..Could this be contributing to the breathlessness I am feeling?

My opinion as follows:

Hello again!

Thank you for the additional information!

Coming to this point, it is important checking pulmonary function (I suppose you have done this test on Friday).

Anxiety could also trigger shortness of breath.

Regarding Propranolol, I don't think that it has any influence in all this clinical situation unless you have asthma (as it is known to exacerbate asthma).

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Wishing all the best,

Dr.Iliri
