Im 17 Years Old And My Periods Have Been Abnormal

Question: Im 17 years old and my periods have been abnormal since i was around 15 (I would miss a month but they lasted a week and i was experiencing normal symptoms). I have not had my period for around 3 months now and im starting to get worried. Im 100% not pregnant and I m not in any pain. any idea s what this could be?

As your periods have delayed for more than 3 months which is not the case usually. Some health conditions such as anemia, thyroid, overweight, diet and lifestyle changes, stress etc. can cause delay in periods.

I would suggest you to get some blood tests done to rule out other conditions such as complete blood count and thyroid profile. After the blood tests you can start with hormonal medicines to help regularise your cycles.

Meanwhile you can take multivitamin such as Cap. Becadexamin once a day for 30 days.
