Question: I wrecked my dirt bike 2 weeks ago. I had a big knot on my left leg below my knee. It seems to be going down but my leg at the knee all the way down to the bottom of my foot is bruising and the bruising is getting darker and worse. It is all the way around.

Brief Answer:
Apply antiseptic and take over the counter pain killer

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Does it pain still?
Do you see serous or pus discharge off the bruise?
Can you upload a picture for a look?
Do not worry, if it is just a bruise and superficial abrasions they will take a week to scab off.
I suggest you to apply antiseptic cream available over the counter twice a day along the bruise all the way down. Keep the area dry as far as possible else it might get infected severely.
But if you are seeing pus and serous discharge you need an oral course of antibiotic like Metronidazole as anaerobes are common cause of infection.

Let me know concerns if any.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
