Question: Good morning,

Every morning when I wake up I am really shaky with tachycardia of about 125. I also randomly get a tremor throughout the day.

I had blood work done and all was normal including thyroid

I also feel well inbetween and the tremor just comes and goes randomly throughout the day. No fever or other signs of infection

I would recommend as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I've gone through the reports,I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms (including those intermittent tremors) could be related to anxiety.

Please note that waking up imposes a high stress to the body, because of the transition from total relax to a lot of external stimuli (light, noise, physical activity, thoughts, etc.).

This stress activated the sympathetic nervous system leading to increased circulating levels of adrenaline and thus tachycardia and anxiety.

This reaction is much more prominent in susceptible persons like you, but it does not indicate any serious medical condition.

For this reason, it is important to focus on your anxiety and try to manage it better. If Ativan isn't helping, perhaps discuss this with your doctor...

I would also recommend performing an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring to investigate for any possible cardiac arrhythmia.

Hope you will find this answer helpful! I remain at your disposal for any further assistance.

Wishing you good health
Thanks.

Thank you so much. This is good information. My heart rate typically only speeds up like that in the morning when first waking and lasts for about 10 minutes and then resolves. I do have an appointment with my doctor but in the meantime would you be able to tell me how likely it would be that I do have some sort of heart condition. Im only 31 and and fit and I dont have any early onset heart disease that runs in my family whatsoever. I was healthy up until a month ago when this suddenly started happening.

Hello again!

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms are not typical of any cardiac disorder.

Anyway, performing a cardiac ultrasound and an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring to completely exclude any cardiac disorders.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
