Brief Answer:
Probably you can use Norethisterone tablet which is a prescription medication.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are many medical condition that can cause prolonged periods.

Some of the common conditions in our daily practice are hormonal changes or uterine fibroids.

I recommend to do some examinations such as a pelvic ultrasound and a blood tests to check hormone levels.

Also a pap smear would give some information.

Meanwhile, I suggest using a Norethisterone tablet.

It is a prescription only pill to stop the periods or delay them.

You should consult a gynecologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
