Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms are indicative of cardiac arrhythmia.

In this ECG image, I can notice an episode of atrial fibrillation. So most likely, this is recurrent atrial fibrillation.

Coming to this point, I would recommend performing an ambulatory 24-48 hours in order to examine these episodes (how frequent they are) and your heart rhythm trends during a prolonged time.

Other tests to consider would be:

- thyroid hormone levels
- complete blood count for anemia
- blood electrolytes
- kidney and liver function test.

Low dose of betablockers may be needed in order to help prevent those episodes. I would also recommend taking daily baby aspirin, to help reduce the risk for blood clotting.

You should discuss with your doctor on these issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Your recordings are more suggestive of AF. They are not indicative of multifocal PACs.

Anyway, these recordings are done from a non professional device.

That it why it is necessary to peform and ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring in order examine better your heart rhythm trends and determine exactly the type of cardiac arrhythmia, in order to judge about the best treatment options.

Is this definitive AF or could it be multifocal PAC’s?
