default
Posted on Mon, 15 Feb 2016
Question: I had sex with my husband after two days of my periods got over. I took an i-pill to avoid pregnancy. It started paining next day as usual but the problem is that pain continued for five days and after that bleeding started and is still continuing. Today is 2nd day. Is it due to side effect of i-pill or there is something serious. It never happened earlier. Please suggest what should I do?

Brief Answer:
A side effect of i-pill.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The bleeding and the pain that you are having is a common side effect of the i-pill. This is a withdrawal bleeding. The bleeding will stop on its own in next few days. Your next period can also be delayed by a few days.
