I Had An Incident A Few Days Ago That Is
Question: I had an incident a few days ago that is of concern. I would like your opinion.
While twisting to get out of an adjustable bed that was not flat at the time, I squeezed my groin. The pain was quite pronounced and shot upward through my body and triggered a near fainting incident. Thankfully, I just laid back down in the bed and the sensation passed. Afterward I felt like it affected my heart.
This is my situation. I am taking the following medications: Rosuvastatin 10mg, Metoprolol ER Succinate 25 mg, and Lisinopril 5 mg to treat an enlarged Aorta at sinus of Valsalva (46 mm). I have had periods of lightheadedness before, but not for months, and never triggered by pain. The other two medical situations that is remarkable is that I take thyroid replacement hormone (Levothoroxine 125mg) and have started CPAP therapy recently (about a month).
This morning’s measurements:
Blood Pressure: averaged: 108/66
Heart Rate: 63 bpm
Temp: 98.2 under tongue
Additionally, I have attached a 6 lead EKG from a consumer device called AliveCor KardiaMobile 6L.
Finally, I’ve attached a sleep report from last night from a device called Wellue O2Ring.
I’ve requested an appointment from my cardiologist but wanted another opinion so I can be more informed.
My main concern? The risk to my heart from stress induced incidents like pain, i.e. how strong my heart is.

Regarding the episode of fainting during the pain, this is called a vagal response to the pain (also called vaso-vagal syncope), which is a physiological reaction to the pain, more prominent in sensitive persons. It doesn't show if a person has a weak or strong heart, just that a person is more sensitive than the others to the pain.
I don't think that is is harmful or indicative of any serious medical disorder.
You should know that these episodes do not impose the heart to a great stress, as they last for short periods of time.
Regarding the enlarged Aorta, I would recommend follow up every 12 months with a cardiac ultrasound.
It is also necessary trying to maintain a normal blood pressure values and blood lipid profile.
