Question: I ended up returning to the doctor to discuss the tightness in my back and the doctor said that everything came back normal. When I got home, I looked at my results and noticed that my creatinine and CK levels are very low. I just had blood work with my PCP 3 weeks ago, and again at my last visit to the emergency center and both results were fine. Should I be concerned? I have a follow up with my PCP in a few weeks.

Brief Answer:
It depends on how low they are.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
It would be better if you upload the test results in order to check how low creatinine and CK levels are. If they are slightly low it may not be important. They may show low muscle mass, may show liver problems or even arthritis.
I think you may need also to check liver enzymes ALT,AST and bilirubin.

Hope I have answered the question.

I tried to upload and it isn’t working. The numbers are <.2 for creatinine and 89 for CK. I had just done blood work at my primary care doctor a few weeks ago and all my numbers were perfect (creatinine .76, Bilirubin .8, Alt 12, ast 21. I don’t see CK anywhere.

Brief Answer:
Can indicate muscle damage.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
You initially said that both ck and creatinine were low and according to these results creatinine is low and CK is high.
You can send the test results by mail at YYYY@YYYY .
The increased CK also low creatinine may indicate muscle damage.
I think you may need to repeat these results and consult with a rheumatologist.

Thank you. My results indicate the reference range for CK to be 139-380.

Is it normal to have these results change so much in 3 weeks?

Brief Answer:
You may still need a rheumatologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking.
According to this reference range your levels are low and this may indicate arthritis since liver enzymes are within normal range.
You may still need to visit a rheumatologist .
