How To Restart Vagifem To Counter Act Dryness?

Question: I started using Vagifem 10mg vaginal tablets Estradiol about two years ago. five months ago I stopped using them to give my body a rest. I now want to restart Vagifem 10mg to counteract dryness, but am not sure whether to use them daily at first and then twice weekly. What do you advise?

Did you stop them out cold, or did you taper them out ?
If you stopped them out cold and did not find any side effects, you can start with daily tablets.
Otherwise, if you had to taper them while stopping, then it is wise to begin with a twice weekly dosage and then increase it.
Different people respond differently to hormones, and if abrupt cessation did not trouble you, starting off again at full dose would not.
