How To Increase Breast Milk Production?
Question: U delivered my first baby on 2nd march 2015 I tried my best to breast feed since I had flat nipples there was latching issues and now my periods resumed what to do I had even bottle fed the baby since she was very hungry how to increase my milk production now will my cycles continue or stop if still continue breast feed please help

1) Irregular breast feeding makes your period irregular. Exclusive Breast Feeding (NO other supplements) is essential for first 6 months. Your period will stop while you are on REGULAR breast feeding or EBF.
2) Following measures should be taken to increase breast milk:
a) Drink water 2-3 liter/ day along with other fluids.
b) Take LACTARE granule with milk (2-3 times daily) or special lactation cookies.
c) Take OATMEAL regularly in breakfast time. Eat fresh vegetables (including Carrots, Fennel etc) and fruits.
d) Manual breast compression or breast pump is also helpful to extract milk.
e) You can circling your index finger throughout the nipple before start feeding.
f) Tab Metoclopramide helps in milk secretion. You need the prescription.
3) Wash your breast and nipple area with lukewarm water before and after each breast feed. Wear comfortable breast support.
