Brief Answer:
It varies. How did your treating doctor advise while prescribing them?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.

I would like to know the way your treating doctor has advised you while prescribing?

Usually all the 4 tablets should be taken at once. That's the best way.

However, many people cannot tolerate the full dose at the same time. In that case it's better to take 2 tablets in morning. 1 in afternoon and 1 at night.

Also I usually suggest to my patients that they also take a proton pump inhibitor like esomeprazole 40 mg taken once a day. Along with that a tablet of vitamin B, commonly available as benadon should be taken. You can discuss regarding these with your treating doctor.

Don't forget to check your liver function tests every 15 days.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Best of luck.

Brief Answer:
ATT takes time. test LFT

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the response.
The fact remains that the therapy for TB lasts at least 6 month. So it would be premature to expect recovery so soon.

Also, you have mentioned yourself that the chest X ray is better.

As for tiredness I hope you have had your liver function tests tested. I have said so in my previous query as well. So if not done, I think I would suggest that you have a test soon.

Also, I hope your treating physician has sent a test for tuberculosis culture. If not request him for the same.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
