Question: how long does it take for 10mg of propranolol to reduce your heart rate and how long will this lower your heart for.

I would estimate that it will take about one or two hours for the medication to start to affect the heart rate. This effect would last for anywhere from 8 to 12 hours with the regular short acting version of this medication.
